Collaboration with ABI Group - strengthening technical capacities and machine offerings

Collaboration with ABI Group
We are proud to announce the establishment of a partnership between Hidraulika Žugec and ABI Group, a leading German manufacturer of deep foundation machinery, drilling, piling, and demanding infrastructure projects.
The partnership includes the sale, technical presentation, commissioning, service, and maintenance of ABI machines, including ABI Mobilram and DELMAG – internationally recognized machines in the field of special construction machinery.
With this partnership, we are expanding the range of drilling machines available in the market of Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania, Hungary, and Romania and ensuring local technical support, availability of spare parts, and expert service for projects requiring such technology.
Special machines for demanding work
ABI and DELMAG are known for the development and production of machines intended for:
deep foundation
drilling (Kelly, CFA, VDW systems)
piloting (vibrational and impact)
and similar
By integrating ABI and DELMAG machines into our operations, we significantly expand our range of technologies for deep foundation, drilling, and piloting. Through sales, commissioning, expert service, and long-term maintenance, we provide comprehensive solutions for geotechnical and infrastructure projects, with an emphasis on reliability, high performance, and professional application of machinery on demanding construction sites.
Focus on technical reliability
Our approach is based on years of experience in working with heavy construction machinery, drilling and piling machines, and a deep understanding of the actual working conditions at construction sites. We provide a complete service – from the delivery and commissioning of machines to regular maintenance, technical support, and long-term maintenance of deep foundation and geotechnical work equipment.
Collaboration with ABI Group is fully aligned with this approach, emphasizing technical correctness, reliable operation of machinery, availability of spare parts, and continuous support throughout the entire lifecycle of the equipment.
Regional presence and development
With this partnership, we are further strengthening our presence in Croatia and the region, with the aim of providing sales, service, and technical support for specialized construction machinery in infrastructure and industrial projects.
We look forward to further developing our cooperation and working with ABI Mobilram and DELMAG machines on future projects.
Overview of some special construction methods
Piling involves installing pile elements into the ground and extracting them from it. Piling and extracting piles are among the most commonly used methods in special construction work. A vibrator is used as a working tool. Rotating unbalanced weights in the vibrator create vibrations, which are transmitted to the pile through the grip. The resulting vibrations reduce friction between the ground and the pile, allowing the element to penetrate the ground more easily.
Soil mixing
Deep soil mixing is a method for improving soil and installing mixed concrete piles or pile walls, where a special mixing tool mixes the existing soil with binders or additives. The mixing process takes place during drilling as well as during the extraction of the tool. The mixing process significantly enhances the mechanical and geotechnical properties of the soil. The deep soil mixing method allows for a wide range of applications for soil improvement according to specific project requirements. A single drive auger or multiple drive augers with mixing tools adapted to the existing soil conditions are used. TMBA multiple drive augers are specifically developed for deep soil mixing. They are available in Twin, Triple, and Quadmix configurations. Individual coordination of all components ensures efficient and sustainable soil treatment.
Pressing
The ABI Hydro-Press system enables static pressing of steel sheet piles. During installation, noise and vibration emissions are minimized, so the pressing method is particularly used at construction sites near data centers or historical protected sites, as well as near hospitals and schools. Depending on geological conditions, high daily productivity can be achieved, as the Hydro-Press system can handle multiple steel sheet piles simultaneously. ABI offers the Hydro-Press system in two versions: HPU – for U-shaped steel sheet piles and HPZ – for Z-shaped steel sheet piles.
Impacting
Impact methods can be applied in almost all geological conditions. DELMAG diesel hammers for piles are used - mounted on MOBILRAM or as standalone units with a leader that serves as guidance. Impact driving is suitable for re-driving piles (back driving) or for installing piles into load-bearing soil layers, such as in rock, as well as in situations where it is necessary to prove the load-bearing capacity of foundations.
